Our Social Responsibility

David is committed to serving his community as well.  Along with his broker-dealer, American Portfolios Financial Services, and his love of bicycling, David has been an active participant for many years with the non-profit organization, World Team Sports and serves as Captain of "Team American Portfolios."

World Team Sports is a sports management company that sponsors numerous inclusive athletic events, including the annual Face of America Ride - an inspiring two-day 110 mile bicycle & hand-cycle ride from Washington DC to the historic battlefields of Gettysburg, PA.  This annual ride honors our military veterans and those with disabilities, including veterans and active duty participants. 

Sponsorship funding provides opportunities for disabled and able-bodied military and civilian athletes to participate in numerous remarkable outdoor adventures ranging from the annual Adventure Team Challenge, located in upstate New York, where developmentally disabled teens and young adults participate in Olympic-type events - to the Coastal Team Challenge along the south shore of Long Island, NY, where athletes with disabilities paddle sea kayaks on a two-day journey.

In his role as Captain for Team American Portfolios, David has participated in the Face of America ride for over 12 consecutive years, coordinating a team that consists of over 70 riders and volunteers.  Since becoming involved with the organization, Team American Portfolios has raised over $1,000,000 for World Team Sports.
